Along with ancestor spirits, Kuy have confidence in other character spirits which includes that of the check lizard (takuat) which they think to be image of fertility. The Kuy conduct ceremonies to propitiate the takuat spirit and request fertility from character. They would also go ahead and take tail in the lizard to use in divination ceremonies.
